TERMS & CONDITIONS

In these T&Cs, "We / Us" refers to VecoAuto and "You" refers to the person named on the booking.

When you place an order with us, we will do business with you under the following terms:

Purchase and Disposal Agreement

If you agree to scrap your car using our site, you will enter into a Purchase and Disposal Agreement. This Agreement is made between you and VecoAuto. You hereby confirm and agree with us that we shall handle the purchase and disposal of your car subject to the terms and conditions in this agreement following your acceptance of the quote given by us on, or via our website.

Prices

Our prices can and do change according to the global market. These market changes happen regularly and our prices are updated as a result.

Collection times

We endeavour to be as flexible as possible when arranging a collection slot.

Your Vehicle will typically be collected between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 UK GMT, Monday to Friday, not including public holidays.
Vehicles may be collected outside of these times or on a Saturday or Sunday at the discretion of VecoAuto.

Cancellation

If you want to cancel the booking, you should do so by phone and we will confirm whether we have been able to do this.

Payment

We will make payment via Electronic Funds Transfer. Please note that in England and Wales section 12 of the Scrap Metal Dealers Act 2013 prohibits the paying of cash for the purchase of cars for scrap metal. In Scotland, the same prohibition is contained in Part 3 (Civic Licensing, Metal Dealers) of the Air Weapon and Licensing Act 2015.
We may, without limiting our other rights or remedies, set off any amount owing to you against any amount payable by us to you.

Indemnity

By agreeing to the terms and conditions set out herein, you shall indemnify Us against any accountability which will include, without constraint, any expenditures, losses, costs, claims, demands, actions, damages, legal expenses and any other fees incurred or suffered as a direct consequence of your breach or non-fulfilment of the terms of this contract.

Legal responsibility

Nothing in these terms of business should affect your legal rights or limit our legal responsibility for death, personal injury or fraudulent misrepresentation resulting from our negligence, or any other liability which we cannot limit or exclude by law. (This includes our legal responsibility under section 2(3) of the Consumer Protection Act 1987.) We will not be legally responsible to you for any losses which both we and you could not expect at the time of you using our products or services. If you are a trade customer, we will not be legally responsible to you for any business losses.
